Here at Trisonics, we realize that one of our greatest assets is our ultrasound expertise. Our service engineers have over 300 years of combined experience and one of the best ways we have found to share it is through our training program.
We hold 16 classes each year that covering a wide range of the most commonly used systems in the field. These classes are taught directly by Trisonics' field engineers so that we can be confident that these classes will serve as essential learning tools to those within the biomedical industry.
We hold two different types of classes – our basic ultrasound course and our system specific courses. The basic training is a one-day course that covers topics including fundamental ultrasound theory, general knobology, an overview of transducers and their care, accreditation guidelines, and PM requirements. The basic training also includes hands-on scanning.
The system courses are much more specific, lasting two or three days, depending on the course. We chose the most common ultrasound models in the industry and tailored our classes to fit these needs. Our current class schedule includes courses covering GE Voluson E6/E8/E10, Philips iU22/iE33, GE Logiq/Vivid E9, Siemens S2000/S3000, and Philips Epiq 5/7.
Each system course is designed to provide hospital biomedical engineers or imaging engineers with a solid foundation from which to service a specific model of ultrasound equipment. Because our instructors are field service engineers, they bring current experience and tips into the classroom. Access to this level of experience provides great added benefit for any engineer that desires to service their equipment in-house.
The system service courses cover:
- Introduction, Basic Use
- System Setup Menus, Knobology
- System Transducer Overview
- System Architecture
- Hardware and Software theory
- Unit Disassembly, Part Replacement
- Part Identification
- Service Strategies
- PM Strategies
Hands-on time with the unit is an extremely important part of the system course. This is what truly sets our training apart from other courses available in ultrasound service. Every aspect of the course has been designed to offer the most direct contact with the unit as possible for each attendee.
All of our courses are held at our facility in Harrisburg, PA. The full schedule of courses is listed below. We are able to offer discounts if multiple attendees come from the same facility or if one attendee signs up for multiple classes. In some cases, there may be an option to have one of our experienced teachers come to your facility and present a class, especially for groups of three or more. For more information or to reserve your spot in one of our classes, contact Alyssa Von Drach.
